OUR STORY

Built to close the gap between awareness and action.

NISS was established in response to a simple but persistent challenge: many organisations understand the importance of neuroinclusion, but struggle to translate that understanding into practical change.

As a South African impact-driven neuroinclusion organisation, we work with workplaces and educational institutions to identify barriers, strengthen internal capability and implement solutions that enable neurodivergent people to participate, perform and thrive.

Our work brings together lived experience, professional expertise and evidence-based thinking. This allows us to approach inclusion as more than an awareness initiative—it becomes part of how environments, systems, policies and everyday practices are designed.

OUR FOUNDING PRINCIPLE Different minds thrive when environments are designed to recognise and support them.
OUR PURPOSE

A clear vision for a more neuroinclusive
South Africa.

NISS exists to help turn understanding into practical systems, meaningful support and environments where neurodivergent people can contribute with confidence.

OUR VISION

To set the benchmark for meaningful neuroinclusion.

To become South Africa’s leading authority on neurodiversity knowledge, policy development and practical implementation—and a trusted benchmark for inclusion across corporate and educational environments.

OUR MISSION

To transform knowledge into practical support and change.

We equip leaders, employees, educators and institutions with the understanding, strategies, policies, technology and support needed to create environments in which neurodivergent people can thrive.
